Well, the Murder Mystery Dinner was a raving success with a record turnout and great revues for the play and the cast. I want to thank all who worked so hard to bring it, especially Terry Mike who went above and beyond even though she was in the midst of tax season. I also want to thank all those who heeded the call and helped with the charity poker night. The new faces made it much easier on the rest of us. We have another poker event this month as well. Please sign up.
May marks the 30th year of Thursday night dances at the River Crest. We were able to tout that fact at the Inter-Service Club banquet at Great Oaks Country Club in April. It was one more feather in our cap as we grow in significance and reputation in the community.
Coming up in May are some interesting events. On May 4th is the Cinco De Mayo coalition dance. These are always well attended and very much fun including some great snacks. Also on May 6th is our second tour of historic Detroit. Members are only $35 with the club picking up the rest. Get to Terry or Tess right away to make a reservation. Seats are filling fast and the bus only holds 30.
We will once again be offering park passes to some of our single parents. This program went over very well last summer and it’s great to hear the thanks and the stories we get in return.
Summer is almost here and we will have plenty of activities for the Snow Bunnies who have returned from the hot, torrid South. Keep tuned for more in the next newsletter.
